About This Site

"A young competitor's" journey is an individual effort that requires a committed family investment. Like any investment there is risk and there is reward and just like the Dow, the investment goes up and it comes down.

You don't have to be genetic scientist to feel how embedded it is in parents' DNA to strap in for the ride. But when we've settled into that ride, holding on through both the bumps and triumphs, we too often miss the moments. It may be an important survival instinct to think about "what next?" but when that's happening, we're missing too much of the good stuff. My job is to catch not just those moments for you but to capture and preserve a perspective of the essence of the stories within those moments.

This is ostensibly a photography site, bhut it's not about pixels and resolution, it's about the bonds that form within and between athletes and families along a shared journey. A journey that, like it or not, will spend a lot more time in the memory bank thank it will within its present form.

I hate to break it to you, but these moments are going to become memories a lot sooner than you want them to be.

"Note- I have zero expertise in marching band or cheerleading. I can't play an instrument and I don't know an Alto Sax from a Base Spot, however, it's my book participants in band and cheer are athletes. They work hard, they fail, they overcome, and they can only survive as a team. And no one works harder than a band parent. This site is also for you and if I use the word athlete, please understand that it means you too.
